In his last job rotation at ST Engineering, Marc led a team of engineers in the design of advanced control automation systems for specialised commercial and military ships. He thoroughly enjoyed the role, relishing the chance to understand and manipulate the intricacies of the various shipboard systems and the complex interactions between them.

Marc is also an avid musician, being a worship-leader/guitarist/pianist in his church for the past 8 years, having played with a band since his secondary school days. He says that the stage is a great place to get acquainted with engineering fundamentals.

The sound engineers/technicians are the most important people even though they are never on stage. The singers and musicians can be playing their best, but if there is just a single resonating frequency in the wrong range that is not arrested and attenuated, the resulting noise will be overpowering and no one will be able to hear anything else.
